Miró in Yorkshire...
In Yorkshire, UK, there will be a very big show or sample of the works of one of the most important artists, and especifically, sculptors, of the world: Joan Miro.
This artist is very recognized all over the world because he have the idea that "a sculpture must stand in the open air, in the middle of nature". His works are very surrealistics and splindis. The exhibition will feature bulls, monsters and giant eggs, and it will be shown at the Sculpture Park in Yorkshire, to all the public.
Miró started to sculpt very lete, when he was 38 years old he did his fisrt work. He made about 400 sculptures ranging from small ceramics to huge bronzes, before his death in 1983.
There is some concern about this exposition because before this, a Barbara Hepworth’s sculpture had been stollen. But the director of this event, Peter Murray, says that now the conditions are very different and that he took all the necessary security, and that the Park of Sculptures is the best place to show all the totems and the amazing job of this big artist; “His family said Yorkshire Sculpture Park is the correct place to show this work," says the director.
Anyways, this is a very important event, because i think that exhibitions like this one integrates cultures and helps to know about different topics of life.
